Web & Windows

McFarland Technology, Inc. develops Web and Windows applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.  Our team has been developing .NET applications for more than 5 years - since Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft's primary software development tool, was in its beta test release.

Microsoft .NET is a set of Microsoft software technologies for connecting information, people, systems, and devices.  It enables a high level of software integration through the use of Web services.  Web services are small, reusable applications written in XML, a universal language for data exchange.  They allow data to be communicated across the Internet (or internal intranet) between otherwise unconnected sources that are enabled to host or act on them.

We have developed data-driven Web applications using ASP.NET, Visual C#.NET, Visual Basic (VB).NET, SQL Server, and Oracle Database for firms/organizations in health care, manufacturing, retail, and government.

Our Web applications may be accessed via mobile devices.  Microsoft Mobile Web technology may be used to enable visitors to access web sites via mobile devices, such as cell phones and PDAs.  Customers are provided with "any time, anywhere" access to online information and services.

McFarland Technology, Inc. builds Web portal solutions using Microsoft portal technologies, such as Office SharePoint Server.  These products are designed to share data with database applications, such as SQL Server, as well as with enterprise integration tools, such as BizTalk Server.

Microsoft portal technologies enable businesses to manage their own web content.  By managing their own content, businesses can save substantially on the cost of web application maintenance over time.  In addition, they are able to respond continuously, via their web portal, to the changing needs of their customers and their marketplace.

As a member of the Microsoft Assistive Technology Vendor program, McFarland Technology develops Web applications/portals which are accessible to persons with disabilities.
