McFarland Technology Inc. is committed to quality software products, both in-house and as a supplier of software quality assurance (SQA) services. The Software Quality Engineering (SQE) staff at McFarland Technology has a comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the software life cycle from requirements gathering through product maintenance. We are qualified to implement SQA policies and procedures for software development, perform independent assessments of software quality, and to provide independent verification and validation (IV&V) for software products/projects.

Our SQE staff includes members who are Certified Software Evaluators for the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University, as well as Certified Quality Auditors (CQA) and Certified Software Quality Engineers (CSQE), certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

We have extensive experience in software inspection, testing, verification, and validation on both desktop products and embedded systems. Our services include writing test plans, conducting testing, collecting performance metrics, analyzing test results to identify areas of risk, and reviewing software artifacts to ensure conformance to a quality process.

We are practitioners of the Software Engineering Standards of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the CMM as defined by the SEI, and other industry standards and practices that are recognized by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
