| McFarland Technology, Inc. is a provider of mobile
computing, data capture, wireless infrastructure, and mobile systems
software. We are an Open Reseller of Motorola's
hardware and software, as well as
a Zebra Technologies RFID Value Added Reseller. We are a Microsoft
Mobile Solutions Partner. We provide data management and systems
integration services. Our primary expertise is in Microsoft-based
solutions. We have been developing solutions on the Microsoft .NET
platform since our firm's inception. |
| |
| We are providers of Motorola and Microsoft-based 1D bar
coding, 2D bar coding, and RFID solutions. Windows
Mobile operating systems, such as Pocket PC and Windows CE.NET, are available
on most models of Motorola devices. |
| |
| Windows Mobile operating systems were designed by Microsoft
to share data with the rest of a Windows network. As a Motorola Open Reseller, the primary value that we add is in integrating these Windows
Mobile-based 1D and 2D bar coding and RFID devices with Microsoft Windows
networks and applications. |
| |
| Using Motorola devices, running Windows Mobile, and Microsoft
.NET technologies, we can make bar coding and RFID-gathered data available to
business decision-makers, as Microsoft would say, "any time, any place, and on
any device." We can make supply chain data immediately available to
managers, for example, in Microsoft Excel. Managers can view supply
chain data in an ASP.NET web application, available on an intranet or the
internet. Supply chain data can be made available to managers on
their PDAs, cell phones, or other handhelds. Microsoft's platform
independent mobile web technology can be used for this purpose and/or Windows
applications can be developed for Windows Mobile-based devices. |
| |
| Motorola's use of the Windows Mobile platform on many of its
bar coding and RFID devices lays the foundation for data sharing among
Windows-based applications across the span of a Windows
network. Facilitating that data sharing to provide managers with the
supply chain data they need is our area of expertise. |
