| Integration |
| |
| Enterprise application integration (EAI) describes the
plans, methods, and tools aimed at synchronizing and sharing data between
applications. Using
tools, such as Microsoft BizTalk Server and Host Integration Server, our
applications are able to share data with systems, such as SAP, PeopleSoft,
UNIX, and AS/400. |
| |
| "Rip and replace" is not an option for most
businesses. EAI maximizes return on investment (ROI) by leaving a
business' existing IT infrastructure in place. Integrating our
solutions with existing systems, using EAI, minimizes time and expense. |
| |
The following Microsoft technologies are used for EAI:
-
BizTalk Server
BizTalk Server enables companies to define business processes that connect
systems, people, and trading partners through manageable business
processes. BizTalk Server builds on the Windows Server operating
system and the .NET Framework.
-
Host Integration Server
Host Integration Server helps customers integrate IBM host applications, data
sources, messaging and security systems with new solutions developed using the
Microsoft Windows Server System platform.
-
SQL Server
SQL Server often forms an integral part of an Application Integration
environment, providing data that is needed to integrate, but also providing
services that can be used directly in Application Integration. Two
of the most important services are Data Transformation Services (DTS) and SQL
Server Analysis Services.
-
Windows Server 2003
Windows Server 2003 provides operating system services, Web services, and the
.NET Framework programming model. Key Application Integration
services provided by Windows Server 2003 include Active Directory, IIS, and
Message Queuing.
-
XML Technologies
Microsoft provides full support for XML technologies, including an XML Parser,
XSLT, Web Services, and Web Services Enhancements.
-
Windows SharePoint Services
Windows SharePoint Services are used to create Web sites for information
sharing and document collaboration. BizTalk Server uses this
infrastructure to publish the results of Business Activity Monitoring on a
Windows SharePoint Services site.
-
Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)
Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 is a network monitoring solution that
captures and reports events throughout a network.
